Dialysis Treatment for Renal Patients
Asha-Jyothi’s Dialysis Campaign is an initiative with the goal of helping many economically challenged Dialysis patients in the city of Hyderabad, India. Around 25 million people in India have this terminal disease, and without Dialysis, the effects are life-threatening. This campaign will help many underprivileged individuals get the life-saving treatment that they need.
Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a major terminal public health problem with perilous results. This disease has affected around 10% of the world’s population, and in India 800 patients per million people are diagnosed with this illness. Although this illness cannot be cured, treatment can have significant positive outcomes. Asha Jyothi is working with NephroPRO, which runs many Dialysis centers in Hyderabad to treat the renal patients. Our funds will financially support the patients with Dialysis treatment. A 3-month Dialysis sessions for a single patient cost about $512. Our goal is to raise $3000+ per year, which will help support about 6 renal patients this year.
